New Year Intentions

The turn of the new year is like a Monday x1,000. It’s a fresh start that allows you to leave the baggage in the past and to wipe the slate clean. It’s a brand new starting line and the road to the finish looks pretty glorious doesn’t it? Every year we make promises to ourselves of how THIS year is gonna be better than the last but more often than not, a mere 30-days in, we have dropped those ambitions and settled back into our comfort zones. Guilty!

THIS is the year I’m going to break it off in bite-sized pieces with Intentions for each month. Intentions help us to be the people we want to be — kind of a nice way of thinking about it, don’t you think? You don’t see things like “exercise every day” or “drink a daily superfood smoothie” on this list because those are habits I’ve cultivated already. Here is my list!

2018 is the year I’m going to take sleep by the horns and make it my #1 top priority. I’m pretty sure if I can make strides on this front, it’ll rub off on every aspect of my life. This leads right into #2. How often have you gotten in bed early and then found yourself up too late scrolling social media. It’s gonna stop. #3… More plants because green things and nature make me HAPPY! Now if only I could keep a plant alive… #4. Eat more fish…because if I’m eating more marine protein, I’m eating less of the other stuff. And finally, completely delving into my mbg Functional Nutrition Guide certification– what’s not to love about learning more about what you love?!

What are the things YOU are focusing on this month? Write them down, make them actionable. While we all would like to promote world peace, what steps and actions exactly are you going to do to accomplish that? Can you measure it?

Happy New Year!

*update on #3 – I purchased a Dracaena plant. Apparently they only have to be watered every two weeks. Let’s see if I can do it!

Simply Sarah is about making simple changes in our habits to live a happier, healthier life. Food and fitness go hand-in-hand and my goal is to help you find that balance. I strongly believe you are what you continually do and never so much as with how you take care of your body both inside and out. I want to show you that there is a difference between having a diet and being on a diet (clearly you know the one I support!). Want a more personalized food plan and workout schedule? Drop me a message for information on my monthly challenge groups!

Need something more? In addition to my coaching services, I also offer pantry clean-outs, personal market tours and custom meal planning. Reach out to me with your requests!
